4月11日，英国最著名的电视选秀节目《英国达人》迎来了一位特殊的参赛者――47岁的无业大妈苏珊?波伊儿（Susan Boyle）。从她走上舞台的那一刻起，包括评委在内的所有人都不看好她，甚至嘲笑她。

苏珊并不以为然，反而是“目中无人”地高唱起音乐剧《悲惨世界》中的歌曲《我曾有梦》。没想到正是这动情一唱，让既没长相又没星相的苏珊一炮而红，就连著名影星黛咪?摩尔也被她的真诚所打动，并在自己的博客中添加了苏珊的网址链接。

更令所有人惊奇的是，苏珊自曝她参赛的目的仅仅是想通过电视节目找到一个伴侣。她现在不用担心了，她完全可能成为下一个保罗（Paul Potts，2007年在《英国达人》节目中一唱成名的手机销售员）。

英国选秀达人苏珊大妈处女大碟《I Dreamed A Dream》已于09年11月23日全球发行。

她太纯真了，找到原版听了，没有太大感觉，苏珊的版本给人希望，直达人的心灵，看她唱完转身就走时，就心想她不知道这个舞台已经属于她了。
